Your games, exhibitions and stories: heard, and remembered.

I plan and produce bilingual English–Mandarin podcasts for sports and cultural organizations in Taiwan. From the first idea to the published episode, all you need to do is tell your story.

為在台灣的運動與文化組織,規劃、製作中英雙語 podcast。

Sound familiar?

  • Your event in Taiwan ends, and the stories behind it disappear with the stage.
  • Head office wants to see what's happening in Taiwan, and a report or newsletter doesn't bring it to life.
  • You want to stay close to members, alumni or supporters, but your posts reach fewer people every month.
  • You'd like a podcast, but nobody on the team has the time, or the Mandarin to reach local guests.

A podcast turns a one-off event into something people can hear again and again.

Talks and workshops

For people who want to run their own show: a session on the first 30 days after launch, the ones that matter most.

The core idea: the podcast cake

A show is like a five-layer cake: each layer sits on the one below. Most new podcasters pour their energy into thumbnails and social media before the bottom two layers are solid.

We also compare podcasts with TV, social ads and short video as marketing tools, using real channels as case studies.

I'm Alexander Hung, a self-employed sports-culture practitioner based in Taiwan and the host of Diverax, a cross-cultural sports show. I talk with guests from Latin America about their stadiums, fans and cities, using sport to understand a place.

I started doing sports interviews in university. Today I interview in English, Mandarin and Spanish, and handle everything myself, from planning and booking guests to recording, subtitles and publishing.

I also teach podcast marketing at a community college in Hsinchu, turning what I've learned into methods other people can follow.

My approach is simple: first understand a place, then tell its story to more people. Making a podcast for your organization works the same way.

Questions

How much does it cost?

Every plan shows a starting price: podcast planning from NT$12,000, a full season (6 episodes) from NT$60,000, and team training from NT$15,000 for a half day. The final price depends on the number of episodes, the format, on-site recording and travel. You'll get a formal quote after the free podcast check.

Can we try it before committing to a season?

Yes. A pilot episode costs NT$12,000 and includes interview questions, recording, editing, bilingual subtitles and publishing. If you continue with a full season, the pilot fee is fully credited.

What if we're not happy with the result?

You approve the interview questions before we record, and each episode includes 2 rounds of revisions. Payment is split in two: 50% when we sign and 50% on delivery. We sign a contract in English that sets out the deliverables, timeline and revisions.

How long does a season take, and how much of our time?

A 6-episode season released every two weeks takes about 15 weeks from the first call to the final report. Your team names one point of contact, invites guests, shares background material and reviews each episode once, about an hour. I handle the rest.

How do we pay, and what documents do you provide?

Quotes are in New Taiwan dollars, or in US dollars on request. You can pay by bank transfer or PayPal. I currently work as an individual and provide a signed receipt. If your finance team needs a specific document, tell me during the free podcast check and we'll sort it out before the quote.

Can you interview Taiwanese guests who don't speak English?

Yes. I interview them in Mandarin and deliver the episode with English subtitles, so your international audience can follow. Episodes that mix English and Mandarin work too.

You work alone. What if something delays the project?

I take on no more than 2 production projects at a time, so each one gets the time it needs. During production you get a progress update every week. I record on two devices at once and keep every file backed up in two cloud locations. The contract sets a delivery date for each episode, at least one week ahead of your event or reporting deadline.

What do guests sign, and how are recordings stored?

I provide a guest consent form template in English and Chinese, which guests sign before recording. Raw recordings are kept for 12 months after the project ends and are available to you on request; after that they are deleted. If your organization has its own policy, we follow it.

Who owns the episodes?

Your organization owns the finished episodes. I keep the right to show them in my portfolio. Anything else can be agreed separately.

Do we need our own recording equipment?

No. We can record online, and I bring the equipment for on-site recording.

Can our team take over after the season?

Yes. A full season can be combined with team training so your team can run the show afterwards.

What's the difference between the free podcast check and the 1:1 review?

The free 20-minute podcast check is for organizations thinking about a podcast with me: we talk about your goals, audience and resources, and I follow up with a proposal and quote. The 1:1 podcast review is a paid session for hosts who have already launched: I listen to your show first and send written recommendations afterwards.

Your organization has stories worth hearing, too.

Let's start with 20 minutes on your goals. It's free, and you don't need to prepare anything. For talks, workshops or a 1:1 review, get in touch the same way. I reply within 3 working days.
